Alumni Spotlight with Emily Timmreck, MSN, RN, ACNP-BC

Emily Timmreck, MSN, RN, ACNP-BC, BSN 1998, MSN 2003, is Director of Health Operations for Catholic Relief Services. She will share experiences combining acute care and tropical medicine with a passion for humanitarian aid.

At the core of Emily’s current mission lies the integration of clinical expertise with operational strategy, ensuring the delivery of compassionate, high-quality care in challenging environments. Prior to her current role of Director of Health Operations, she served as Senior Advisor in Health and Safety Operations for Catholic Relief Services. Before joining Catholic Relief Services, Emily worked in the Peace Corps in various roles. 

Upon completion of this session, participants should be able to:

  • Verbalize 3 common health challenges for those working in low resource and/or high-risk settings
  • Identify common themes of nursing practice in the occupational health and tropical medicine settings
