Congenital heart disease (CHD) is a complex, life-long condition. There is an increasing number of patients living worldwide with repaired congenital defects. This lecture examines what nurses need to know about CHD including common patient presentations, underlying physiology, management, and future research perspectives. The goal is to provide a useable and manageable approach to understanding CHD through the lens of a nurse.
