Elizabeth Beam, PhD, RN is an associate professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing and director of the Global Health HEROES program. With a career rooted in emergency preparedness and infection control, Beam has been a key educator in the Nebraska Biocontainment Unit, notably during the 2014 Ebola response in the U.S. Her research focuses on healthcare worker safety, respiratory protection, and simulation-based education. She will talk about the role of nurse on interprofessional team and offer recommendations to help us navigate future responses to public health challenges.
