Induction Ceremony and Celebration

The Sigma Beta Kappa Nursing Honor Society chapter will induct its 2025 cohort of new nursing scholars at a celebratory event in McLeod Hall Auditorium Nov. 7 at 6 PM.

In addition to honoring new inductees among the School's undergraduate and graduate student body, the ceremony will feature associate dean for research, Jeanne Alhusen, the UVA Health University Medical Center Endowed Professor of Nursing and an NIH-funded nurse scientist, as its keynote speaker.

The event will also celebrate the Beta Kappa chapter's receipt of its 10th Sigma Chapter Key Award, which the group will earn at the 48th Sigma Biennial Convention in Indianapolis, IN, when current Beta Kappa chapter president, Malinda Whitlow, associate professor and undergraduate program lead, accepts it on behalf of the storied UVA nursing honor society.
