Change is inevitable, but guiding your team through it doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. Join CCI Director, Lili Powell, for an interactive workshop to learn practical strategies for managing transitions with clarity and resilience.

Change is inevitable, yet leading teams through it – whether a new initiative, a shift in priorities, or organizational restructuring – often feels anything but easy.

This session introduces essential skills to lead mindfully through change and transitions by effectively managing your own responses to change while skillfully guiding your team through the process.  Drawing on the work of William Bridges’ Transition Model, we will explore the critical difference between change (external event) and transition (internal, psychological process).  Understanding the difference will equip you with the means to reduce resistance, foster resilience, and maintain momentum during periods of flux.

As a result of attending, you will learn to:

  • Identify your personal and your teams’ change styles
  • Understand the potential for resistance and growth in each stage of transition
  • Apply “inner work” practices to manage your own reactivity and foster a growth mindset
  • Utilize “outer work” strategies to communicate effectively and skillfully move your team through change and transition

Session Schedule:
12:00-12:30 pm - Lunch Provided - Optional
12:30-1:45 pm - Interactive Workshop

Location: Holloway Hall - Room 116, Bavaro Hall (In-Person)
