Victoria L Tiase, PhD, RN, NI-BC, FAMIA, FNAP, FAAN, FAHSE (BSN '95), is a nurse informaticist and an assistant professor of biomedical informatics and nursing at the University of Utah, co-director of Utah’s Clinical and Translational Science Institute's Biomedical Informatics Core, and president of the Utah Nursing Informatics Network.

Her expertise ranges from leading EHR implementations to mentoring digital health startups. A tireless advocate for informatics as a career path, she serves on the boards of the Alliance for Nursing Informatics, AMIA, and Friends of NINR, and is on the editorial boards of JAMIA and npjHealth Systems.

Tiase was appointed as the informatics expert to the National Academy of Medicine’s Future of Nursing 2030 Committee to envision the nurse’s role in using technology to tackle health disparities and create healthier communities. Her current research involves the computational modeling of nursing workload to improve the systems, structures, and policies that support a robust nursing workforce.
