UVA Schwartz Center Rounds: The Mentor Who Changed Me

Through stories and conversation, this multidisciplinary panel will reflect on the mentors who changed them - their lessons, encouragement, and impact on their professional and personal journeys.

Throughout our careers, there are individuals who leave a lasting mark on who we become as clinicians, caregivers, and leaders. A mentor's influence can shape our confidence, guide us through difficult moments, challenge us to grow, and remind us why we chose healthcare in the first place. Through stories and conversation, this multidisciplinary panel will reflect on the mentors who changed them - their lessons, encouragement, and impact on their professional and personal journeys. Together, we will honor those who helped shape us and reflect on the influence we hope to have on others. 

Panelists will include: Dana Breeding, BSN; Andrea Colasurdo, BSN; Anna DeLong, LCSW; and Anna Haupt, RN. 

Target audience includes: UVA Health physicians, nurses, APPs, social workers, and other healthcare workers and learners.

Schwartz Center Rounds are interprofessional panel-based discussions that allow healthcare workers to reflect and share about how they are affected by their work. The goal of the program is to foster and support empathy, collaboration and compassion for self and others. Panels are selected to address pertinent issues occurring in our healthcare system.
